Mae is a second generation Filipina and co-founder of Philippine Generations, a non-profit charitable organisation that promotes the Philippines, people and culture while raising the aspirations of young Filipinos through education, workshops and events.
Taking inspiration from her late father Jose ‘Pepe’ Magnaye, Chef Mae Magnaye Williams serves up traditional, regional and street food dishes. Pepe’s Kitchen began as a catering company, initially preparing Philippine Canapés for corporate and private events, but then quickly evolved into the UK’s first Filipino Supperclub and Pop Up Restaurant in London.
In 2016, Mae appeared with Mary Berry on BBC2's Mary Berry's Easter Feast, cooking Lechon (Crispy Roast Pork) on prime time national television. It is time Filipino Food is given a chance to shine and Mae is passionate about sharing her food memories of growing up in the Philippines and the variety, colour and uniqueness of Filipino food and culture with the rest of the world.
